'Yes' or 'No'

Here ye all people!  When a 'Yes' or 'No' question is asked, what is the appropriate response?

Anybody?....  Anybody at all?

The appropriate response is either 'Yes', 'No', or 'I don't know'.

The point of asking a simple 'Yes' or 'No' question is to cut through all the unnecessary BS, elaborations, and anecdotes and get to the root of the pertinent information needed.

So, there is no need for any lengthy blathering.  No need for going on and on about irrelevant tangents that have nothing to do with the question.

It, also, is not a request for someone to become actively involved in investigating the answer.  Usually the person asking is quite capable of doing so for themselves but they are simply asking the other person in an effort to be efficient and not waste the time investigating the answer themselves if, by chance, the other person happens to already know the answer.

So, my fellow citizens, I'm just saying.  Lets try to keep things simple and just answer the question being asked.
